Many of our residents are from the surrounding area and still others are from all parts of the country. Some come here via referrals and others grew up in the area, moved to other climates for a period and then came home to Greece and the Legacy. 
How our residents get here is irrelevant, what is more important is to understand how all fit into our family at Park Crescent almost immediately. When a resident 'comes home' to Park Crescent, they are welcomed and oriented by our staff in a formal session and are assigned a Legacy 'ambassador' to help them find their way. Our ambassadors are residents who have volunteered and have been trained to work with new residents to introduce the new resident to our community, meet other residents, find their way around the building, get involved in our many activities, and be a big brother/sister for as long as the new resident wants. Independent LivingPark Crescent allows seniors the opportunity to live completely independently or to enlist the help they need through a third party home care provider, while living in their apartment home. We offer furnished apartments for short term stays. Family and friends are welcome to use these rooms when visiting residents overnight. Our rates are very reasonable. The same rooms are available for rent by the day, week, or month as a trial period for potential residents. Come and see how our community fits your fancy! Short Term StaysIf the “kids” want to go on vacation, Mom or Dad can stay with us and receive all the services that our residents get every day, and the “kids” don’t have to worry. Guilty as charged.I do believe that we have an absolutely great staff. I also believe that our staff differentiates us from other senior communities.' While working at the Legacy is technically our chosen profession, our time “living with” our residents feels more like a mission in life than a job. Residents fast become friends and staff almost becomes family to everyone. Make New FriendsOur building looks and feels like a fine hotel or country club, with all the common space and amenities. In reality it is home, a perfect place to mingle, make new friends, enjoy entertainment, have wonderful chef prepared meals in our formal dining rooms, entertain family and friends, attend seminars, take in a full length movie on the big screen, or just plain relax and take a nap by one of our fireplaces.Our residents declare that they live in a “mansion”. After all, the apartments and common space are all under the same roof, for everyone to share. Of course if privacy is what you are after, one of our 192 apartments, studio, one and two bedroom, are prefect getaways. More Choices for Independent LivingWe also have 24 Villas or Townhouses offering two bedrooms, full kitchen, dining and living rooms, a Jacuzzi tub bathroom plus shower, a powder room, washer and dryer, and a two car garage.ActivitiesWe offer a comprehensive activity program which is custom tailored to the wishes of our residents by our full time Social Director.Each month we have a resident council meeting at which we discuss what we have been doing for activities and what we can do in the future. From these discussions we formulate the upcoming activity calendars. Exercise, physical and mental health, entertainment, travel, education, fun, and religious needs are all part of our planned calendar. Resident birthdays are celebrated each month with cake and entertainment for all. We very seldom sit still at Park Crescent. We believe that activity, laughter, and socialization are food for the soul. We find that keeping our residents physically and mentally active does wonders for their attitude toward life in general. TransportationTransportation for activities is generally provided at no charge. In addition, each month every resident is entitled to two round trip transports to his/her medical appointments, free of charge w/in a ten mile radius of our community.Stop by for a visit!Our mission is to provide an enjoyable, stimulating environment for all those who enter our community.
