Carol Bradley Bursack has spent two decades caring for seven elders.
During that time she wrote a book, titled Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories, which chronicles her own caregiving experiences and those of 20 other caregivers.
She also began writing a newspaper column on elder care. Carol created her award winning caregiver and seniors support sites www.mindingourelders.com and www.mindingoureldersblogs.com to provide support resources for caregivers.
She has written hundreds of articles and blog posts on caregiving and senior issues, many of which are available on her sites. She is also a featured blogger on Our Alzheimers and a regular writer on Aging Care.
Every aspect of Minding Our Elders is meant to support the emotional and practical needs of caregivers and the seniors they care for.
Carol has been quoted in national magazines such as Family Circle and Quick and Simple, as well as newspapers and internet articles world wide. Her growing reputation as an expert in elder care provides her with resources that she passes on to her readers.
Kathy Kilpatrick received her Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology in 1968 from the University of Massachusetts. She has worked in a variety of settings, primarily in Ohio, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, home health care agencies and she has her own private practice.
Kathryn is the author of over 30 products sold nationally including the Visiting Nurse Service Therapy Guides (Volumes 1-5) for Speech and Language Disorders.
Her background in speech and language pathology, specializing in serving the older adult population for over 3 decades, led to the development of Communication Connection in 2000 as a geriatric communication consultant.
She is a motivational speaker, marketing consultant and trainer on the local, state and national level and her programs and more recent products focus on enhancing the quality of life of the older adult and supporting their families, friends and caregivers.
She conducts family support groups and staff training on Life Enhancement and she specializes in working with families coping with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Her website www.connectionsincommunication.com provides a multitude of communication and activity suggestions that will enhance time spent with an older adult along with a free quarterly email newsletter.
Her latest product includes a book for caregivers or patients who would appreciate additional assistance: Because You Care - What to do when you do not know what to do
Kathryn is the author of Walking the Path to Memory Fitness One Week at a Time and recently created Memory Fitness Matters to meet the needs of those interested in learning more about brain health and successful aging. Her motivational and informative memory fitness programs are presented to all ages, from senior groups to corporate America.
I highly recommend and endorse both Carol's and Kathy's newsletters. I hope that you will sign up for both of them, each are distinctly different, each offers you the kind of information we're dedicated to providing seniors and their adult children.
Our time is best spent helping seniors and family caregivers connect with verified safe reliable companies and this has become in such demand, that we just cannot keep up with writing a monthly newsletter any longer.
