CUSTOMER CARE SALES SPECIALISTS
Marriott’s Global Reservations and Customer Care center in Miami, Florida is currently seeking multiple full-time customer service professionals (inbound) for an impending training class beginning June 1st. Training consists of three weeks in a classroom environment as well as job shadowing/on-the-job training activities. Upon successful graduation from training, Customer Care Sales Specialists move into the reservation center with the following responsibilities:
- Accept incoming (inbound) telephone calls from customers inquiring about Marriott services and products in a friendly, professional manner
- Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events)
- Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott
- Recognize opportunities to up-sell the customer and sell enhancements to create a better Marriott experience or event
- Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally
- Process all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail; process requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points
- Enter Marriott Rewards information into appropriate software when taking guest reservations
- Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Sales, Data Administration, Accounting) as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests or problems
Successful candidates will meet the following criteria/possess the required skills:
- Positive, outgoing attitude with Spirit to Serve attitude
- Previous customer service experience preferably in a call center setting; however any customer service employment history will be considered
- Previous sales experience a plus
- Cheerful, approachable manner; speaking with others using clear and professional language; strong verbal communication skills
- Strong PC skills including typing at least 40 wpm; ability to learn and utilize new computer software quickly and efficiently
- Stable work history with desire to grow within the organization
- Bilingual (Spanish) HIGHLY preferred
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays as we operate 7 days per week from early morning to late evening hours; this is a MUST as schedules/shifts vary
- Ability to problem solve, interact with all levels of personnel maintaining a pleasant disposition; open and accepting to feedback and performance measurements
- Ability to meet deadlines, goals and any other metrics as related to the position
