Autobiography in Five Chapters

Chapter One

I walk down a sidewalk
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk
I see it
I fall in
It is not my fault
It takes a very long time, but I get out

Chapter Two

I walk down the same sidewalk
There is the same deep hole
I pretend it is not there
I fall in
It is someone elses' fault
I get out, but it takes a very long time

Chapter Three

I walk down the same sidewalk
There is the same deep hole
I really wish it wasn't there, it's not fair
I fall in
I realize that it is my doing
Very quickly, I get out

Chapter Four

I walk down the same sidewalk
I see the same big hole
I walk around the hole

Chapter Five

I choose a different sidewalk
